Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and due to its climate, enjoys all year round sunshine, ideal if you are planning a hen do in the winter months! The liveliest resort in Tenerife is Playa De Las Americas which is on the south coast of the island. It is known for its vibrant nightlife ranging from the wild, neon-lit bars and clubs on the Veronicas Strip to a more laid-back scene of karaoke bars and cocktail lounges. Tenerife is also home to Siam Park, the world’s best waterpark as awarded by TripAdvisor. The resorts on either side, Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos are also popular for a more relaxed vibe whilst offering ease of access to Playa De Las Americas. Tenerife is the perfect destination for fun-filled days and memorable nights!
Tenerife Nightlife
- Veronicas Strip: Filled with bars and clubs offering cheap drinks, this boisterous area is by the promenade in Playa De Las Americas. There are some fast-food joints to help soak up the alcohol or refuel if you are partying into the small hours! Whilst Veronicas Strip is popular with hen and stag parties, it is known to be frequented by pickpockets and other undesirables so be vigilant and don’t leave any of your friends by themselves.
- The Patch: For a more laid-back yet still a buzzing atmosphere, head to an area known as The Patch with its variety of bars and pubs where you can enjoy anything from live music and karaoke to relaxing with a cocktail in a lounge bar.
- Hard Rock Café: For an evening of good food, drinks and live music, head to the stylish Hard Rock Café in Playa De Las Americas. This American-themed restaurant and bar is a fab spot to kick off your hen party celebrations. Make sure you go for Happy Hour between 5-7pm!
- Costa Adeje: Regarded as Las Americas’ more upmarket neighbour, Costa Adeje is a bustling yet chilled out resort. With lots of lovely restaurants and drinking spots, Costa Adeje is fab for a classy hen do or if you simply want to go somewhere with a bit of life but nothing too crazy!
Hen Do Activities in Tenerife
- Siam Park: Spend a day at this impressive Thai-themed waterpark, Siam Park. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie taking on The Tower of Power or you prefer to relax on the Mai Thai Lazy River, Siam Park has something for everyone.
- Boat Trip: Take one of the many boat trips that sets sail from Costa Adeje’s marina (Puerto Colon). One of which is this Boat Party which includes an open bar (yes please!) and resident DJs.
- Scandal Dinner Show: Enjoy a fabulous night filled with burlesque glitz and glam whilst tucking into a 5 course meal at the Scandal Dinner Show. Held at the 5 star GF Hotel in Costa Adeje, this is one for the classy bride!
- Comedy Drag Dinner Show: Music Hall Tavern Comedy Drag Dinner Show is a multi-award winning show promising laughter, sparkles, a 3 course meal and drinks all night with an all inclusive ticket! This is not one to be missed off your hen weekend itinerary!
- Aqua Club Thermal Spa: Relax with a pamper session with the girlies at Europe’s largest urban spa, Aqua Club Thermal Spa. This 2 hour spa circuit has 18 zones to be explored including a Finnish Sauna, jacuzzis, Turkish Baths and a foot spa. Perfect for the day after a long night of dancing!
