It’s impossible to talk about Malaga nightlife without first mentioning the rooftop bars! There are so many to choose from and are popular with locals and tourists alike; it’s easy to see why when they offer panoramic views across the city and the sea, all whilst sipping your favourite cocktail.

Head to Plaza De La Merced, one of Malaga’s largest squares, which comes alive at night, transforming itself from a relaxing space for coffee or tapas in the daytime to a lively hub with bars and restaurants when the sun goes down. This area features the famous El Pimpi where you can enjoy tapas and wine, notably their wine barrels are signed by celebrities including Malaga-born Antonio Banderas. Plaza De La Merced is the ideal place for pre-drinks, with its outdoor terraces and chilled vibes.

Plaza de Uncibay is one of Malaga’s busiest squares and is where you will find a large concentration of clubs, Irish pubs, tapas bars and cocktail lounges. Within the vicinity is the famous Sala Gold and Discoteca Anden, two of Malaga’s top nightclubs.

If you’re in the mood for some beachside nightlife, La Malagueta offers a mix of chiringuitos (beach bars), restaurants and cocktail bars. This is a great spot to enjoy dinner and drinks by the sea with the bride squad!
